Date
26 to 29 July 2016
Venue
CCAMLR Headquarters, 181 Macquarie Street, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia.
Background
At CCAMLR-XXXIV, the Commission noted that the next step in developing a new e-CDS platform was the refinement of the functional specifications describing the requirements of the new e-CDS. In considering this issue, it was agreed that the development of these functional specifications would be greatly enhanced with the active involvement of CDS Contact Officers, e-CDS users, industry and the CDS Implementation Panel (CCAMLR-XXXIV, Annex 6, paragraph 92). To this end, a four-day workshop will be convened at the Secretariat Headquarters from 26 to 29 July 2016.
Participation
Contracting Parties (CPs) that implement the CDS are invited to nominate one of their CDS Contact Officers for the workshop. In addition, Contracting Parties may also nominate an e-CDS expert that contributed to the work of the CDS Implementation Panel in 2015.
Non-Contracting Parties (NCPs) that cooperate with CCAMLR through the voluntary implementation of the CDS are also invited to nominate one of their CDS Contact Officers to participate in the workshop.
Nominations need to be provided to cds [at] ccamlr [dot] org by 4 May 2016.
If travel support is required, please advise the Secretariat when nominating participants.
This workshop will be held in English only.
