Distribution and biology of grey notothen (Lepidonotothen squamifrons) around South Georgia and Shag Rocks (Southern Ocean) CCAMLR Subarea 48.3.
Abstract: Lepidonotothen squamifrons (Family Nototheniidae) is a demersal Southern Ocean endemic fish. Historically a commercially targeted species and common as bycatch, changes to CCAMLR fisheries regulations in 1989 have meant it is now only caught in sub-area 48.3 during research surveys. Data

Molecular and morphological identification of Macrourus species caught as by-catch in the toothfish longline fisheries in CCAMLR Subareas 48.3 and 48.4.
Abstract: Genetic identification of grenadiers taken as bycatch in the toothfish longline fishery at South Georgia was compared with results of morphological identifications made by scientific observers and fisheries biologists. There was generally good agreement between methods although issues

Results from the reduced groundfish survey conducted in CCAMLR Subarea 48.3 in January 2012
Abstract: A reduced (three day) groundfish survey took place at Shag Rocks on the FV New Polar between the 26-28th January 2012. This survey was not intended to be a full biomass survey so only 20 random hauls were completed around Shag Rocks with 3 additional opportunistic sites at South Georgia.

Manual for age determination of Antarctic toothfish, Dissostichus mawsoni V2
Abstract: An age determination manual for Antarctic toothfish (Dissostichus mawsoni) was produced for CCAMLR in 2010. The manual has been updated to include the development and use of a reference set to provide training and refresher material for agers, and to formally track reader performance and

Further development of coarse- and medium-scale spatially explicit population dynamics operating models for Antarctic toothfish in the Ross Sea region
Abstract: We present developments towards spatially explicit age-structured population dynamics operating models for Antarctic toothfish in the Ross Sea. The operating models consider both a coarse-scale and medium-scale spatial resolution and consider scenarios where abundance can be present over
