The CCAMLR pinniped identification guide was developed with the assistance of Members of the U.S. and New Zealand delegations and was presented and endorsed by the Working Group on Incidental Mortality Associated with Fishing in 2024 (WG-FSA-IMAF-2024/76).

The guide contains information on how to sex and measure pinnipeds, identify Antarctic pinniped species, and information on safety around pinnipeds when encountered on fishing vessels.
