CCAMLR implements a CCAMLR Compliance Evaluation Procedure (CCEP) that evaluates Contracting Party implementation of, and compliance with, conservation measures in a responsible, open, transparent and non-discriminatory manner.
The CCEP uses information provided to the Secretariat, as required under the CAMLR Convention, conservation measures and other rules and procedures such as the CCAMLR Scheme of International Scientific Observation (SISO) and the System of Inspection.
The CCEP is an annual process undertaken by CCAMLR and has a number of key steps as outlined below.
Contracting Parties required to provide a response to their Draft CCAMLR Compliance Report are advised to go to CCAMLR online support to access guidelines for submitting a Contracting Party response to a Draft CCAMLR Compliance Report.
