Recognising the importance of the CCAMLR electronic Catch Documentation Scheme (e-CDS) to track toothfish trade and combat illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing in the Convention Area, significant upgrades to the e-CDS are being made in 2023.

On 7 April 2022, CCAMLR celebrated the 40th anniversary of the CAMLR Convention coming into force. To honour this milestone the Secretariat produced a commemorative book in collaboration with Members, Acceding States and Observers.
Yesterday saw the close of the Forty-first Meeting of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR).
The Commission met from 24 October to 4 November 2022. The meeting was attended by CCAMLR Members and Observers. The Commission meeting was chaired by Dr Jakob Granit (Sweden).
